Lochlan Te’o

Lochlan Te’o is a rising waka ama athlete from South Auckland who began paddling at just eight years old. Through discipline, consistency, and a strong connection to his community, Lochlan has developed into one of New Zealand’s most promising young paddlers.

In 2025, Lochlan was selected to represent Aotearoa New Zealand at the Waka Ama World Distance Championships in Brazil, a major milestone that reflects both his talent and work ethic. Alongside international competition, Lochlan is committed to school sport, club training, and giving back to the waka ama community that shaped him.

Lochlan has been selected to represent Aotearoa New Zealand at the upcoming 2026 IVF World Sprint Championships held in Singapore in August.
